The Local Volume HI Survey

IC 3104 (HIPASS J1219-79) is a Magellanic barred irregular galaxy at a TRGB distance of 2.27 ± 0.19 Mpc (Karachentsev et al. 2002). Its nearest neighbour is probably HIPASS J1247-77 (vhel = 413 km/s) at a projected distance of 154.3 arcmin. Our ATCA HI images show a well-resolved, regularly rotating galaxy. We measure F_HI = 8.1 Jy km/s, consistent with the HIPASS F_HI (Koribalski et al. 2004), and derive M_HI = 9.8 × 10⁶ M_☉.
