Conference Venue

The international conference "Galaxies in the Local Volume" will be held at the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) in Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia. All presentations will take place in the museum's tiered ANZ Theatre. Registration, posters and coffee/tea breaks are organised in the adjacent Tasman Light & Deck.

Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House

Darling Harbour is a major tourist destination within Sydney and as such, transport to and from the venue is very simple:

The most picturesque route is to make use of the light rail from Central station. A return fare from Central to the stop called 'convention' will cost Au$3 and services run every 15 minutes.

The Monorail also has a number of stops through Darling Harbour. The closest Monorail stop to the Maritime Museum is also called "Convention". A fare on the Monorail costs Au$4 and services run every 5 minutes or so.

Darling Harbour is a 10 minute walk from Town Hall Station (click on the map below):

Paid parking is available at Harbourside, Exhibition or Sussex St carparks.

Dinner Venue

The Conference Dinner Venue is to be announced.
