Science with Parkes @ 50 Years Young

Proceedings

As is apparent from the final programme and the many individual presentations available through the links there, the meeting provided a wide range of contributions looking both at the past and the future of the Parkes telescope. Although all participants were invited to submit written contributions to the online proceedings below, we made a particular effort to capture the historical ones, as these were felt to have the greatest lasting value. It was truly fascinating to gain glimpses into some of the strong personalities that shaped the times 50 years ago. There are plenty of lessons still to be learned from the Parkes story.
