Location
The conference will be held in the Marsfield Lecture Theatre at the CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science Headquarters, located at the Corner of Vimiera & Pembroke Roads, Marsfield, New South Wales, 2122, Australia. The site also hosts the ICT Centre, and the map shown below directs you to the site. CASS is approximately 20 km from the Sydney CBD, and is easily accessible by public transport (buses and trains).
All visitors are required to visit the Reception and sign in every day of the conference. The lecture theatre is straight past Reception, and just past the stairs on the right.

Morning and afternoon teas and lunch will be held just outside the lecture theatre in the adjoining open area, with the option for visitors to move outside if the weather permits.
Weather
Early December is a great time to visit Sydney, weather-wise. The average temperatues are typically 25°C (77°F) during the day, and around 17°C (64°F) at night. Sydney summers are quite variable though, and temperatures can soar over 40°C (104°F), with thunderstorms and gale winds a common occurance after a day or several days of hot weather (December has an average of 78mm or 3 inches of rain!).Sponsors
