CDdisko Problems

Recorder wont start

Check you have write permission to the data disk, e.g: > ls -l /data drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2006-05-17 04:01 firewire drwxr-xr-x 5 vlbi vlbi 4096 2008-03-28 10:30 internal d——— 2 root root 4096 2005-10-28 16:47 removable drwxr-xr-x 5 vlbi vlbi 4096 2008-03-28 21:52 xraid0 drwxr-xr-x 5 vlbi vlbi 4096 2008-03-30 10:15 xraid1 drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 2008-03-30 22:07 xraid2 drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 2008-03-30 22:52 xraid3

You will not be able to write to xraid2 or xraid3. Log in as root and > chown vlbi:vlbi /data/xraid2

Cdisko doesn't start and say ''"FILL ME IN WITH ACTUAL ERROR MESSAGE(cjp)"''

Have you selected “scheduled start” with a time in the past (check the dayno!). Deselect schedule start or click “now +10sec”.

Cdisko does not display disk labels, is not responding, will not recognise the remote recorder, or is generally behaving badly

Try restarting recorder_server

> /etc/init.d/recorder_server restart

Cdisko doesn't show statistics etc even though data is being recorded

kill the recorder_health process on the recorder machine. It should restart next cycle and start displaying the information. If not stop and start cdisko
