Hobart windstowed 2255-2317, 2330-End of experiment.

Discovered a problem with the Vex file related to the fanout used. The Hobart rack is set for geodesy (not a VLBA-style rack) which caused problems with the fanout mode used. To correct this, the SCHED setup was changed to:

station=HOB_MK5
m4patch=geo1
format=MKIV1:2
ifchan='2N','2N','1N','1N'
bbc=11,12,3,4
/

The VEX file has this track assignment:

$TRACKS;

def MKIV.4Ch2bit1to2;

  • mode = 1 stations =Ho
  • format = MKIV1:2, and fan-out = 2
  • mode requires 16.00Mb/s/tr; stations using disks

track_frame_format = Mark4;

   data_modulation = off;\\
   fanout_def =   : &CH01 : sign : 1:  2:  4;\\
   fanout_def =   : &CH01 :  mag : 1:  6:  8;\\
   fanout_def =   : &CH02 : sign : 1: 10: 12;\\
   fanout_def =   : &CH02 :  mag : 1: 14: 16;\\
   fanout_def =   : &CH03 : sign : 1: 18: 20;\\
   fanout_def =   : &CH03 :  mag : 1: 22: 24;\\
   fanout_def =   : &CH04 : sign : 1: 26: 28;\\
   fanout_def =   : &CH04 :  mag : 1: 30: 32;\\

enddef;

This configuration gave good fringes (at X-band) to the other Australian telescopes.
