Comments:

Please note disks recorded in observatory links below - *AND* on the main disk wiki page!!!

Parkes, Mopra, ATCA

  • Connect DAS to VSIC using “Huygens” Cable
  • Both DAS units are used to give 2 x 256 Mbps = 512 Mbps recording over 8 x 16 MHz channels

Hobart, Ceduna, Tidbinbilla

  • Connect DAS directly to VSIC
  • One DAS unit is used to give 1 x 256 Mbps recording over 4 x 16 MHz channels.
  • Record frequencies listed at RCP for both DAS1 and DAS2 in the table above.

Tid only has a single polarisation available, and should set up to record 4 channels of RCP at 256 Mbps using the vsop profile on the DAS, matched to the 4 channel frequencies given in the table. This will allow Tid to match RCP at all 4 frequencies for the ATNF antennas.

Likewise, Hobart and Ceduna should also set up to record RCP at 256 Mbps using the vsop DAS profile. Like Tid this will allow RCP coverage of all 4 frequencies of the ATNF antennas, and will exactly match Tidbinbilla. This setup will require splitting the RF signal and setting up two IF chains, one into each IFP of the DAS.

IFP#1 Skyfreq 8425.00 RCP
IFP#2 Skyfreq 8457.00 RCP
