The VLBI scheduler will assist with organisation of correlating but the primary responsibility remains with the proposing group.
A 6-station S-2 correlator is now operational at ATNF. The S-2 correlator is extremely versatile and can support both continuum and spectral-line modes (>1k channels!). Details are available on request to the VLBI scheduler.
The correlator is normally available for production correlating at all times. However, engineering tests and development may take priority during the normal day-shift. Proposers are responsible for the operation of the correlator and no absentee correlating is available.
There are no MkIII VLBI correlators in Australia and correlation can be done only at facilities in the US or Europe. MkIII experiments can be processed at Caltech/JPL, Haystack, Washington or Bonn. Arrangements must be made by the proposer.
