The galaxies NGC1596 and NGC1602 are an interacting pair
(AM0426-550,
HIPASS J0427-55).
NGC1596: Type = SA0: sp , optical diameter = 3.7' x 1.0'
NGC1602: Type = IB(s)m pec: , optical diameter = 1.9' x 1.1'
