Kenny the Quokka
The quokka, or short-tailed scrub wallaby, is found in a small area of south-west Western Australia. It has inspired the QUOCKA survey -- QU Observations at Cm wavelength with Km baselines using ATCA, and its scientific name has been used for the new high performance at Pawsey. We recently learned of Kenny the Quokka, pictured above. The honour of hosting Kenny is bestowed upon those who have performed an act of kindness and inclusivity, and Ivy Wong was a recent recipient. (The award apparently comes with cake, but we have no photographic evidence of that!)
