Bolton Fellowship 2015 |
by Jill Rathborne (CASS) |
The Bolton Fellowship is Australia's longest
standing prize fellowship and provides an outstanding opportunity for
postdoctoral astronomy research in Australia. This Bolton Fellowship is
targeted towards wide-field radio astronomy that enables new and cutting-edge
science from the world's fastest and most data intensive radio telescope array,
the 36-dish Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP). -
Apply before 6 Nov 2015. The fellowship is named in honour of John Gatenby Bolton (1922-93), an early pioneer of radio astronomy and the inaugural director of the Parkes Telescope. The image was taken by Radiophysics photographer Ken Nash sometime in the late 60s. It's from the Radio Astronomy Image Archive managed by Jessica Chapman. |
