About CRAIA

The CSIRO Radio Astronomy Image Archive (CRAIA) holds a collection of over 20,000 images and other digital assets that relate to the history of radio astronomy in Australia, from 1940 to the present day. Early images were taken by professional photographers at the CSIRO Division of Radiophysics and the Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF). The original negatives, photographs and slides were scanned, and include those of people, telescopes, events, observatory sites, engineering and other technical work, and include scientific results. This collection is maintained by staff at ATNF.
