Introduction
The Australia Telescope Users Committee (ATUC) is a group of ten to fifteen scientists (the number varies from year to year) who represent the users of the Australia Telescope National Facility. This committee is appointed by the ATNF Steering Committee and meets twice a year, usually around April and October.
ATUC meetings are a forum for ATNF users to raise any problems they have experienced with the operation of the facilities and to suggest changes to their operation: this discussion provides feedback for the ATNF management. ATUC also discusses and recommends priorities for ATNF future development plans. If you have a matter you would like raised at an ATUC meeting, please contact one of the members, either in person or by email. Please note that while anonymous contributions will not be considered by the committee, names and email addresses will be kept confidential and individuals will not be identified in discussions between ATUC and ATNF, unless explicitly requested by the contributor.
ATUC also request agenda items and report back to users on their meetings via 4 emails to a general list per year, generally before and after each ATUC meeting.
ATUC have Terms of Reference to operate under. The Terms of Reference are supplemented by a description of individual responsibilities.
ATUC meetings generally occur in April and and October each year.
You can contact ATUC via the following: atnf-userscommittee[at]lists dot csiro dot au
Feedback, questions and suggestions can be submitted here, or members of ATUC can be directly contacted if preferred.
Next ATUC Meeting
The next ATUC meeting will be scheduled in April 2025 (exact dates to be determined).
- As usual, the meeting will commence with an Open Session consisting of updates and discussions on the various aspects of ATNF facilities. The agenda for the ATUC Open Session will be available ahead of the meeting.
- The ATUC code of conduct applies to all participants in ATUC meetings.
