Last of the wildflowers in bloom in the Mid West

This photo, taken earlier in October, shows the last of the flowers blooming on the roadside near ASKAP Antenna 22 at the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory. These beautiful purple flowers are Ptilotus exaltatus, known as Mulla Mulla, and carpet the region in spring and early summer.
