|Parkes Pulsar Surveys published in CSIRO's Data Access Portal|
|by Lawrence Toomey (CASS)|
| CSIRO's Data Access Portal
(DAP) now has over half a Petabyte
of Parkes pulsar data archived, published and available for download in
PSRFITS format, of which ~380 Terabytes are from pulsar surveys dating from
the 1990's to today. |
The DAP is VO compatible and data can be queried using Virtual Observatory tools such as TOPCAT). This TOPCAT image shows the pointings of the main Parkes pulsar surveys published to date, with the MultiBeam receiver configuration as depicted on the sky (insert).
The DAP archive continues to grow at a rate of ~1TB per day, the source of which are both archival and new data. Access to new data is restricted to project teams during the statutory 18 month embargo period, thereafter the data becomes public.
