Eight of the ASKAP antennas (1, 2, 3, 4, 11,
19, 28, 29) as seen from a height of 25m from the core area. The phased array
feeds on Antennas 1 and 3 can clearly be seen - these antennas form part of
BETA, the Boolardy Engineering Test Array. The chosen Wajarri Yamatji names are: (1) Biyarli = Galah, (2) Birliya = Flat-leaf Mineritchie tree, (3) Bundara = Stars, (4) Bimba = Edible gum, (11) Manggawarla (Hat), (19) Biji-biji = caterpillar, (28) Ngurlubarndi = Old top shed road, the Wajarri neam of Fred Sim, and (29) Diggidumble = Table-top hill. |
