V.R.I - the Virtual Radio Interferometer
by Bärbel Koribalski (CASS)
The Virtual Radio Interferometer (V.R.I.) - a Java applet - allows users to explore the uv-coverage and FFT images resulting from different distributions of telescopes, including current radio interferometers such as ATCA, WSRT, Merlin, and ASKAP. The example above shows the combination of two ATCA configurations, EW352 (blue) and H168 (red), each observing a radio galaxy at DEC = -45 degr for 8 hours.
