Planet formation around HD100546 |

image of the protoplanetary disk around the young star HD100546. This young,
massive star is about 100 pc from the Earth and the image shows the thermal
emission from the dusty disk seen at a wavelength close to 7 mm. The emission
is shaped like a horseshoe, with material from the inner disk being cleared
