The annual meeting of the IPTA (International
Pulsar Timing Array), hosted by the ATNF, will take place in the beautiful
Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. The meeting will focus on the
latest results and techniques for using millisecond pulsar timing to detect
gravitational waves, probe solar system dynamics, and establish a celestial
time-scale. A special, one-day workshop will bring together specialists in
galaxy evolution and pulsar astronomy to explore the implications of new,
stringent constraints on the gravitational wave background. A student workshop
at the Parkes observatory will precede the meeting and offer students the
increasingly rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a radio
telescope.
