Xinping Deng is a new postdoctoral fellow at
ATNF. He will spend one year with us in Australia and then two years at the
Max-Planck-Institute for Radio Astronomy (MPIFR) in Bonn, Germany. Xinping will
commission and be involved in early science observations with a Phased-Array
Feed (PAF) on the Parkes telescope. Xinping was an ATNF co-supervised PhD
student and carried out his thesis work relating to using pulsars to navigate
space-craft through the solar system. In his spare time Xinping enjoys
playing ping pong and so fits in well with the pulsar group at the ATNF.
