installation and commissioning of the 7-beam receiver on the Parkes telescope
as part of the Methanol Multibeam Survey, was my initial introduction to the
greatness of Jim Caswell - identifying masers by eye, and recounting the
history and variability from memory - Jim set amazing standards and provided
invaluable guidance, which will always remain." Caswell et al. 2010 describe the first results of the Parkes Methanol Multibeam survey, the largest blind survey for methanol masers carried out to date. |
