Wreath Flowers along the Pindar-Beringarra Road
by Tobias Westmeier (ICRAR/UWA)
This photo was taken along the Pindar-Beringarra Road, which is the dirt road that leads to Boolardy Station and the Murchison Radioastronomy Observatory (MRO) where the Australian SKA Pathfinder (ASKAP) is located. Several hundred metres of the road were lined with Wreath Flowers, some of them already in full bloom. Wreath Flowers are among the most iconic and spectacular of Western Australia's wildflowers. With their circular ring of flowers they almost look like a hand-made floral wreath.
