Congratulations to the amazing ASKAP team -
a few of whom are shown in the image above (with PAF-equipped ASKAP antennas
in the background) - who won the 2015 Chairman's Medal at the CSIRO Awards
ceremony held yesterday in Canberra. The Chairman's Medal (also shown above)
recognises exceptional research teams and was awarded in recognition of the
whole ASKAP team "for revolutionising astronomy by developing a spectacular
new capability for observing wide areas of the sky using the world's first
widefield imaging receivers for radio astronomy of the antennas of the ASKAP
