| Parkes ELVIS Festival |
| Starting soon in Parkes is the annual ELVIS
Festival: 6 - 10 January 2016. This year will include the Ultimate Elvis
Tribute Artist Contest and many competitions such as busking, rock'n'roll
dancing, the street parade, Miss Priscilla, Cars of the Era and more. Visitors to our CSIRO Parkes Visitors Centre enjoy a great view of the 64-m Parkes Dish, while it is observing pulsars and searching for more Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) this week. To help with this project, please switch off all mobile phones, etc., which interfere with the radio observations. |
