The Skymapper team are busy preparing for
the early data release of a shallow imaging survey. The survey provides u,
v, g, r, i and z band images for one third of the southern sky. Li Shao (left)
and Jing Wang (right) from the WALLABY/LVHIS team at ATNF worked with
Christian Wolf (middle) and his Skymapper team at the Mount Stromlo
Observatory for the past 2 weeks. They tested different photometric methods
on the images of the IC 1459 group and the Centaurus A galaxy.
