WALLABY Early Science Workshop
Following a successful source-finding busy week at UWA/ICRAR last week, it's time for the WALLABY Early Science workshop this week. Our goal is to select suitable southern fields, each about 30 sq degr in size, to study galaxy HI properties as a function of environment. Our main targets will be galaxy groups and clusters, rich of interacting galaxies, such that we may detect tidal tails, bridges and filaments. ASKAP Early Science will start once 12 Phased-Array Feeds are installed and ready to observe together; this is likely happening around mid 2016.
