Discovery of Two New Pulsars in 47 Tucanae
by George Hobbs (CASS)
Today's image shows the discovery plots for two new millisecond pulsars in the globular cluster 47 Tucanane: PSRs J0024-7204aa (the fastest known pulsar in the cluster) and J0024-7204ab. These pulsars were found by reprocessing more than 1,000 hours of archival Parkes observations. The new pulsars are described in Pan et al. (2016), which includes CASS' George Hobbs and is now accepted for publication by MNRAS.
