Bolton Symposium and Book Launch
The annual Bolton Symposium was held at Marsfield last week, giving students, postdocs and staff a chance to describe the work they have been doing this year. The Symposium is named for pioneering radio astronomer John Bolton, who was Officer in Charge at the Parkes Observatory for the first two decades of its existence.

It was fitting, therefore, that the Symposium this year was followed by the launch of Peter Robertson's new biography of John Bolton. The book was launched by Robyn Williams, from ABC Radio National's The Science Show, who related his experiences in meeting Bolton earlier in his own career. (Picture credit: Russell Tunny)
