The First Ecuadorian School of Radio Astronomy was organised by Observatorio
Astronomico de Quito (OAQ) of Escuela Politecnica Nacional (EPN) from the 11th
to the 13th of January 2017. The goal of the School was to introduce the basics
of radio astronomy to local students and professional researchers. At this
three-day School participants learned about currently-available international
facilities, modern data analysis techniques, and research being conducted
