The European Astronomical Society’s 2019 MERAC Prize for Observational Astrophysics,
has been awarded to Dr Evan Keane in recognition of his work on
Fast Radio Bursts and pulsars, conducted primarily with the Parkes telescope.
Evan, who was a postdoc at Swinburne Uni, is now a Project Scientist at the
SKA Organisation in Manchester, and continues to be an active Parkes user.
MERAC (Mobilising European Research in Astrophysics and
Cosmology) is a non-profit foundation started in 2012
to recognise and support young European astronomers.
