CSIRO's Awards and Medals Ceremony was held this week, with two CASS
staff among those honoured. The CSIRO Medal for Lifetime Achievement
recognises individuals who have a record of sustained and meritorious
achievements in science, technology and innovation or the support of
science, technology and innovation. Two medals are presented each
year, with Robin Wark being honoured for her 35 years with CSIRO.
Robin started at Parkes, before moving to the Australia Telescope
Compact Array, and being at the forefront of observer support for the
ATCA ever since. As an observer, Robin is co-author of several of the
ATCA's most highly cited papers. Robin was presented with her award by
CSIRO Chief Executive, Larry Marshall, and Chief Scientist, Cathy Foley.
