The
43rd COSPAR Scientific Assembly
will be hosted in Sydney from 15th to 22nd August at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.
The 2020 Assembly will combine the latest in space research findings
with activities designed to enrich the global space research community
- including helping equip our future leaders, and workshopping with
space industry - and inspire the next generation of scientists and
engineers.
The theme of the 2020 Assembly is Connecting Space Research for Global
Impact and Australia stands to use the Assembly to help deliver such
impact at a time when its space sector, assisted by the new
Australian Space Agency, is rapidly gathering momentum.
COSPAR 2020 is being held during National Science Week in Australia,
when the nation celebrates science through hundreds of public events
across the country.
COSPAR's Scientific Commissions cover solar, planetary, and
space-based astronomy, as well as Earth observation from space,
satellite development, astrobiology, space applications (geodesy,
metrology, navigation), and outreach and education, amongst other topics.
The deadline for abstracts is this Friday, February 14th.
