The Rapid ASKAP Continuum Survey (RACS),
has been featured in recent ADAPs. Today's image shows a painting
celebrating RACS
by Wajarri artist Margaret Whitehurst, who describes her work:
"My painting represents part of the Universe, being mapped from Wajarri country.
The symbols in the bottom right-hand corner represent the Aboriginal people.
The white boomerangs represent the ASKAP antenna dishes -- receiving
the radio waves. There's "the emu in the sky", black holes in my invisible Universe.
Included is the Southern Cross and [in the top left-hand corner] the Seven Sisters."
