| Parkes 60th Anniversary |

Although the Parkes telescope's 60th birthday was yesterday, the party is today!
The
Parkes 60th webpage, collecting contributions from current and
former staff and observers, is continuing to grow and continues details
of a live-stream event from the Observatory for the unveiling of a
plaque commemorating the telescope's National Heritage listing.
Jayden and Olivia visited the Parkes telescope in April 2021 and enjoyed a wonderful tour of the telescope. Even now they are still talking about the experience, and hope to go back to Parkes again as soon as possible. They enthusiastically made the cake pictured above to celebrate Parkes’ 60th anniversary which, from all accounts, was very tasty! |
