Six or seven sisters?
In another recent article for The Conversation, Ray Norris considers the Pleiades star cluster, referred to in many cultures as the "seven sisters" despite the fact many people can only discern six stars. After studying the motion of the stars very closely, Ray and Barnaby Norris propose that these stories may date back 100,000 years to a time when the constellation looked quite different.
