It's hard to believe, but
it is three years since Shivani joined CASS
as a CSIRO ResearchPlus postdoc.
Shivani has contributed to great advances
in the field of Fast Radio Bursts research in those three years --
with the ASKAP localisation of FRBs, allowing their host galaxies
to be determined and their origin within the galaxy to be probed,
being the highlight. Shivani has just put the finishing touches
to a review paper on Probing the Universe with FRBs with co-author
Chris Flynn, which will appear in the journal Universe in the coming months.
Before leaving CASS, Shivani was able to visit the Parkes telescope
during a maintenance day and stand on the very same surface that
reflected the photons from the first discovered FRBs to the receiver above!
