Cricket on the Dish
Yesterday's ADAP combined both The Dish and cricket, and one of the lasting impressions from the movie appears to be that staff used to play cricket on the surface of the telescope. This blog, The Dish: Fact vs Fiction, attempts to set the record straight. However, as much as art imitates life, life does imitate art, and following the movie there have been occasions, including the US Ambassador's visit in 2003 and Cricket Australia's launch of a junior development program in 2018, where cricket (with a soft ball) has been played on Murriyang's surface.
