| Sweet memories of the 1960s! |
| To celebrate its centenary, Cadbury has released blocks of chocolate commemorating each decade of its 100 years. For the 1960s, they chose the Parkes telescope, Murriyang. The caption on the back of the block reads, Over 650 millio people watched Neil Armstrong walk on the moon on 20 Juy 1969 and Australia's Parkes Observatory made it possible. The telescope relayed the best quality footage of Apollo 11, bringing everyone on Earth -- and the Moon -- closer. |
