GASKAP-OH, the Galactic ASKAP Spectral Line Survey studying
the hydroxyl (OH) molecule has obtained promising results
from its first Pilot Survey data.
In just a small portion of the full field-of-view, 45 OH masers were detected, more than half of which
were discovered for the first time. Each of these masers highlight the locations where stars are forming
or dying and provide information about these processes.
The spectra above are for two of the new detections, and show the 1665 and 1667 MHz "main lines"
of the OH molecule.
