National Science Week runs from August 12–20.
This year’s theme is Innovation: Powering Future Industries
and CSIRO will be using the opportunity
to bring real-world science to students and teachers
by hosting a number of onsite and virtual events.
At the Parkes Observatory, students will hear from John Sarkissian and Franco Di Dio
while admiring the Parkes telescope, Murriyang, and then check out the 3D Theatre.
There will also be a night of astronomy at the
Western Australia Museum of Geraldton, with an event on Tuesday titled
"What’s the lowdown on the SKA-Low?"
