Wear it Purple Day has a simple message -- everybody has the right to
be proud of who they are. Now an international day of recognition,
held on the last Friday in August, Wear it Purple was launched in
Australia in 2010 and strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering
and inclusive environments for LGBTIQA+ people everywhere.
The theme for Wear It Purple Day this year is "Write your story",
which places emphasis on the importance of personal expression
and individuality for rainbow youth.
Events are being held across S&A sites to celebrate the day.
