The 64-m Parkes Telescope is part of CSIRO’s Australia Telescope National Facility. It operates 24/7 and observes pulsars – tiny radio-emitting stars – about 60% of the year.
We are in the process of creating a daily astronomy image server to which all ATNF users are invited to contribute. This will take a little while, so in the meantime we wish happy holidays.
