The Chinese characters in today’s image are pronounced “Gong Hey Fat Choy” (Cantonese) or “Gong Xi Fa Cai” (Mandarin) and constitute the traditional greeting for the Lunar New Year. The colour red symbolizes good fortune and can be found everywhere during the festive season.
