ATNF astronomer Dr George Hobbs with students at the Geraldton Science Festival held at Geraldton Grammar School in Western Australia, 30 – 31 March. The high school students are controlling the Parkes radio telescope remotely to observe pulsars as part of the PULSE@Parkes program. Our team ran 10 hours of observations for participating students, a teacher workshop and the evening public session. The festival saw about 1,000 people visit over the two days.
