Processing of the WALLABY Early Science data taken for our first 30 square degree field is on-going. Here we show HI results for one beam (out of 36 beams) after combining seven nights of ASKAP-12 data in ASKAPsoft. We find two gas-rich dwarf galaxies in the vicinity of the nearby spiral galaxy IC 5201. The collage above shows IC 5201 at the top: optical image (left), HI distribution (middle) and mean HI velocity field (right). The bottom row shows the equivalent images for the two dwarf galaxies. – Credit : Dane Kleiner and WALLABY processing team.
