ATNF marked the ending of an era yesterday with a farewell for Robin Wark, who has provided observer support for ATNF facilities for the last 34 years. Joining CSIRO at the Parkes Observatory, Robin moved to the Compact Array in the early 1990s, before relocating the Sydney in 2014 with the establishment of the Science Operations Centre, enabling her to also take on some ASKAP duties. The morning tea included a number of tributes from colleagues and observers, with Robin’s calmness, competence, and willingness to go above and beyond in her support role being a feature of the contributions. Robin will embark on some well-earned long service leave next week, before retiring next year after notching up 35 years with CSIRO.
