Exmouth enjoyed clear skies for yesterday’s total solar eclipse today. Today’s image is, like yesterday’s, from the eclipse of December 2002. This was a partial solar eclipse as seen from Parkes, and the Dish, Murriyang, had to be wind-stowed as a dust storm was approaching. The dust helped created a golden glow around the setting Sun and Dish. The Moon’s shadow on the atmosphere is also visible, dipping toward the Sun/Moon from the left and the right.
