Season’s Greetings to all ADAP readers! Each year CSIRO describes and names up to 200 insects that are new to science. The Sapphire Azure butterfly has bright iridescent blue upperwings and a splash of colour on its underwings. This interesting insect is a species of newly-described butterfly endemic to Queensland, and the caterpillars of this butterfly feed on mistletoe, providing a nice connection to the festive season!
