Last week a delegation from the Western Australian Parliamentary Friends of Technology and Innovation visited Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, CSIRO’s Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory. The group is open to all members of Parliament, and has the objectives of connecting private technology industry representatives with policy makers; inspiring policy makers to ‘think boldly’ and embrace innovation as a means to improve the technology sector and the delivery of public services, and providing tech leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs in WA with a platform to inform members on key and emerging trends in their sectors. The group visited the Murchison Widefield Array and ASKAP before stopping at the first station of the SKA-Low array. (Image credit: Brett Hiscock)
