National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June and is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how we can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. In 2022, the NSW government committed to flying the Aboriginal flag permanently on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge . Previously, the NSW State Flag had been flown together with the Australian Flag. Plans to add the Aboriginal Flag to these two were costed at $25 million, with the decision then being made to simply replace the State Flag with the Aboriginal Flag.
